Hey there!
I’m Marilize, a South African actor, writer & radio presenter!
I have loved performing since I was a little girl in a pink tutu, and I very quickly knew that it was the path my life was meant to take. So in 2015 I started my formal actor training at Stellenbosch University.
By the end of 2018 I traded in my pigtails and tutu for a cap and gown, having graduated not only with a BA Drama degree but an Honours in Acting as well. In addition I had a career in radio presenting that would soon blossom in a national opportunity.
Since I’ve left the familiar walkways of Stellenbosch University, I’ve worked at 5fm as a presenter, done multiple theatre productions all over South Africa, worked on award winning voice over projects and most recently attended film school in Los Angeles.
Being able to attend the New York Film Academy has been one of the biggest blessings of my life and I look forward to bringing my multi-national training to every project in the future.
Some fun facts about me: I am addicted to a good cup of coffee, I plan on travelling the world one little bit at a time, I have been described as a couch-based movie critic and I love to find new adventures in every opportunity.
